How to Buffer Video & Image Shares from Other Facebook Pages

It’s no secret that I’m a major fan of Buffer, and love to use it for managing profiles for all of my clients. But, it isn’t always straightforward how to do some things. It’s hard to develop something that depends entirely on others, and we all know how easy Facebook […]

Am I the only one who is constantly judged by a ch Am I the only one who is constantly judged by a chihuahua when working out? Glares from Pebbles aside, it felt great to be back on the mat for a long session. Probably the most productive one since before my first surgery in 2018. All the adhesions and continued disease locked everything up. Even the most basic yoga session would result in more inflammation and pain. To be past that feels like I’m in another world, like I’m dreaming. Right now I’m just focused on getting my form back, then I’ll do another 30-day challenge. If Pebbles allows. #endometriosis #chronicillness #pelvicfloordysfunction #endometriosisawareness #yogapractice #yoga #chihuahuasofinstagram #rileyandpebbles #dogsofinstagram #dogofinstagram #rescuedog #bluemerle #chihuahua #dog #doglover #dogs #🐶
Well, it’s happening. I’m doing #the100dayproj Well, it’s happening. I’m doing #the100dayproject this year. I decided to #finishalltheblankets because I have a hue shift blanket started from over a year ago, and a new crazy yarn scrap blanket to work on. Both are easy garter stitch blankets that you attach as you go, good for some daily mindless knitting. @growuplena is going to keep me accountable 😅

I don’t know why I abandoned my #hueshift, I want to say I screwed up a piece and my tension changed.

The other blanket is the #northeasterlyblanket, which I started with leftover crazy yarn from my junction sweater. Since I’m doing my shifty next, and probably another junction, I decided I’d have plenty of odds and ends for a blanket.

Pebbles update! As you can see here, we celebrated Pebbles update! As you can see here, we celebrated. Her stitches are out and pathology is back. No cancer! It was a chronic inflammatory issue, so surgery was necessary to remove the problem. She basically copied me. Thank you for all your support, it’s meant a lot. She’s definitely extra spoiled now 🤦🏻‍♀️ Time to get back to work Pebbles 😜 #rileyandpebbles #dogsofinstagram #dogofinstagram #rescuedog #terrier #chihuahua #dog #doglover #dogs #🐶 #chihuahuasofinstagram
Surgery went well. We’re home and settled down. Surgery went well. We’re home and settled down. They said she would sleep all evening. But she has her normal energy, if not more. She’s milking the situation for every bit she can get. I have to keep petting her or she gets upset or tries to do something she shouldn’t 🙄 This isn’t any surprise through. #Rileyandpebbles #dogsofinstagram #dogofinstagram #rescuedog #terrier #chihuahua #dog #doglover #dogs #🐶 #bluemerle #bluemerlechihuahua #chihuahuasofinstagram
This little one is having her own excision surgery This little one is having her own excision surgery on Sunday. A week ago during a routine vet tech appointment they found a growth that wasn’t there just a few weeks ago. In an area known for cancerous growths. Today the cytology came back as inconclusive, so surgery it is. We’re lucky there’s an experienced surgeon at our vets who just removed the same growth, but even larger, from another chihuahua. Send all the good vibes and prayers that it’s benign and Pebbles will be around for many more years. Thankfully, we caught whatever it is very early and she’s still very much herself and not in any pain. She’s still bossing us around and demanding all the attention. I’m the one who is an anxious wreck. #Rileyandpebbles #dogsofinstagram #dogofinstagram #rescuedog #bluemerle #chihuahua #dog #doglover #dogs #🐶 #chihuahuasofinstagram #junctionsweater #knittersofpnw #knitting #knittersofinstagram #knitter #knittingpattern #pnwknitters #knitfatdiewarm #plussizeknitting #instaknit #knitterinos #knittersofidaho #idahoknitters #knittinglife
ETA- have to cancel tonight’s stream. Feeling si ETA- have to cancel tonight’s stream. Feeling sick. 🎥 Streaming this evening at 5pm Pacific (an hour early!) Click my link in profile to follow my twitch channel. Since I missed streaming on Thursday (yay migraine!) I'm doing a bit of a grab bag today. Some basic knitting tips, my current WIPs, blocking a cowl, knitting with two circular needles, and who knows what else!

For those still learning to knit, I'm going to demonstrate the purl stitch and show how to do some horizontal ribbing. Next week I'll take everything we've talked about and show how to make some extra fun dishcloth designs – like making words and images appear!

Here are my current basic AF socks, just some KP Felici. It's really been a non-stop migraine week, so all I could handle was basic stockinette. Even then I had to put aside my Love Note sweater, because I was messing up and you know... unraveling mohair is the stuff of knitting nightmares. Animal Crossing stitch marker by @fangirlfibers

Tomorrow at 6pm Pacific, I will be live streaming Tomorrow at 6pm Pacific, I will be live streaming on Twitch with some yarn. After many months of trying to figure out how to help friends learn to knit, I had a moment of inspiration and realized Twitch was the answer. I'll have an overhead camera to show my hands and knitting, and a webcam to show my face... with a festive Snapchat filter just because. Chat will be on for anyone to ask questions or just keep the conversation flowing!

Link to my Twitch channel (heymego) is in my Instagram profile. (https://www.twitch.tv/heymego)

This stream will go over knitting's basics, but I plan to be live for at least two hours – so anything can happen. Maybe I'll retell a true crime story? Maybe Pebbles or Riley will make an appearance? I'm going to show how to make the most basic thing ever using easy-to-find cotton yarn – dish cloths. Dish cloths allow you to practice the basics while still whipping up something you can use, regardless of how tidy your stitches are.

If you want to knit with me, I'm using Lily's Sugar'n Cream 100% cotton worsted/medium weight yarn and US7 circular needles (any length over 16" will be fine, you can use straight as long as they're longer than your project.) Big chain stores like JoAnn's almost always have this yarn in stock, with curbside pickup!

If you're already a master knitter and just want to gab and have fun with others, join us too! I'm planning on other streams where I work on my current WIPs and share more than just knitting techniques.

Finally getting a chance to dive into my Knit Star Finally getting a chance to dive into my Knit Stars 5 videos. Before the pandemic hit, I was planning on taking @jacquelinecieslak's courses in-person at one of the PNW shops she was to visit this year. When I saw that she had re-worked one of her workshops into a Knit Stars course... you bet I bought the early bird deal!

Oh my the truth bombs in this series that resonate so much with me – I spent most of my childhood and early adulthood being told I had a "belly" and needed to eat less/exercise more. Then when birth control destroyed my health, I let that emotional abuse continue in my own head that I was somehow personally at fault for my body not conforming to the 'standard' and I was "unhealthy". I did all the things and diets to lose the weight, and IMO – it just did more damage.

It'll always be a struggle – not being able to even do my yoga practice the last two years created new anxiety that I wasn't being "healthy." Uh, I was recovering from surgery after surgery. Even this summer as I was dealing with new extreme pain, I was still feeling horrible guilt that I wasn't working back up to my yoga practice or 4-mile-a-day-walks.

It'll always be a process to unpack that emotional abuse and realize that I'm fine the way I am now. I don't need to conform to someone else's standards on how I should look, dress, eat, exercise, or even feel. If I want to get back to a daily yoga practice and walking – that's totally fine. But it won't be the end of the world if I don't either, and it'll be because I want to because they make me feel good. Not because of "weight loss" or anything like that.
